A good o-ring chain is low maintenance. Shafties suck, they turn about 10% of your engines power in to heat. I did 3500 mile trip on my FZ6 just gave her a squirt every 300Mi. It hasn't needed an adjustment since the break in at 500mi. I now have 9k mi on the bike with only one chain adjustment.

So cool Alex. I think I've finally gotten over the jealousy :) Now keep posting, stay moderately safe and remain outside your comfort zone. The blog helps me get through my 60-hour weeks

Glad you're enjoying the blog - that nuvi hasn't done us any good since Glacier, so we've been using AAA maps ever since and haven't been lost yet. The bags are Nelson Rigg - check out the rides page for a link.

Quite the adventure you boys have undertaken! Do it while you can...we're all envious as hell here, working our 9 to 5's, ridin' when we can. Guess yer dad is trying to come up with a fix for your Nuvi as I see on Yahoo Honda 750 group. Hell, just get a tank bag and map; more than reliable! So, where'd did those saddle bags come from, as I am looking for similar for my 81 750 Custom! Good riding boys and keep us all posted!
